Our Vineyard

Peccavi Estate is a small boutique vineyard located in the “sweet spot” sub-region of Yallingup in the north of the Margaret River region. With an international reputation for impressive Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay wines, as well as Bordeaux-style red and white blends, this Australian wine region is one of the country’s premier growing regions.

Our vineyard thrives in an ideal, balanced maritime climate where winds from Antarctica carry the purest rainfall to feed the vines in the winter and cooling sea breezes from the Indian Ocean moderate the long dry summer days.

Peccavi is one of the very first, if not the first, in all of Australia to have the same new clones being used by the greatest Estates of Bordeaux. In the words of Lisa Perotti-Brown, ‘… one of the biggest stories in Margaret River is the new Merlot clone planted at Peccavi, established by newcomer Jeremy Muller. The initial results from these young new Peccavi Merlot vines are truly something to shout about and absolutely what Margaret River needs to take their Bordeaux blends to the pinnacle of quality’.

After carefully hand-picking much of the fruit from our 16 hectare vineyard, we select only the best grapes to produce our Peccavi wines. This labour in the vineyard and winery is time-consuming, but is also motivated by a passion to handcraft top quality wine. When you taste Peccavi wines we trust you’ll agree that our time and energy was well spent.
