Peccavi Wine Selection

2007 Peccavi Cabernet Sauvignon
Rich blueberry and chocolate nose, cedar pine forest, new cigar, dusty wood notes, mocha, touch of liquorice, lovely purity of fruit, soft elegant, silky palate, crunch acidity, good tartness. Good length as well, with lingering tanginess, concentrated berry fruit, looks quite Bordeaux-like with pronounced acidity and silky elegance, and fine, powdery tannins.
Cellaring Potential: Ready now but will reward cellaring for at least another five years.

2007 Peccavi Shiraz
Vanillin, coffee grinds and charred new oak dominates the bouquet at first but breathes out revealing deep blackberry and blackcurrant inky nose, black Chinese tea, clove, spice box, with a menthol lift, dark cooking chocolate and beef stock. Quite racy and tart palate entry. Intense, yet again an elegance that defies the hedonistic bouquet and dark berry fruits. Has a lot of depth, piercing blackcurrant and tamarillo. Much more elegant than most Australian shiraz, not necessarily marginal cool-climate though, more in the Northern Rhône Côte Rôtie sphere with plenty of tension in the acidity, yet a suaveness, moreish elegance. Arguably the best site for Shiraz in all Margaret River, will be interesting to see this cuvée rise up the ladder of Australian Shiraz; “The Wandering Palate”.
Cellaring Potential: Drink now till 2017

2006 Peccavi Chardonnay
Fine lemon gold colour with hints of green. The nose shows some evolved Chardonnay fruit characters with typical Margaret River elegance and finesse. The palate is dry, medium bodied - a very elegant Chardonnay style. Flavours overall are grapefruit, melon, cashew nut and soft vanilla oak with a lovely persistent creamy finish. A classic example of well made Margaret River Chardonnay.
Cellaring Potential: Enjoy now or for further complexity cellar for another 5-7 years
